Tashyra Ayers is a teen Mom turned trailblazer. She had her son, Daevon, at just 14 years old. Tashyra is now an award-winning author, professor, founder, faith-leader, and voice activator whose work explores the power of living a multi-hyphenated life with clarity, conviction, and confidence. She is the author of the 2026 ChristLit Award-winning book, A Multi-Hyphenated Life: The Brilliance of Both, And. Her book is now being developed into her trademarked, Both, And™ Leadership curriculum. The curriculum is a multi-level framework for colleges and universities, executives, faith-leaders, and organizations. Tashyra believes the next generation will know a world and workforce that is multi-faceted, no longer singular-focused or niche-driven.
Tashyra is the founder of multi-media company, The House of Genesis. At The House of Genesis, Tashyra’s team of voice actors have worked with Campbell’s Soup, Nike, Suzuki, iHeart Media, KIPP Charter Schools, and the New York Academy of Medicine to name a few. Since its inception in 2020, she has grown the business from voiceover production to include public speaking, communications training, education and publishing; in the near future licensing, streaming media, and a brick & mortar establishment will come.
In addition to these accomplishments, in January 2026 Tashyra was sworn in to serve as a Commissioner on the New York Charter Revision Commission, where she contributed to shaping civic dialogue, voter’s priorities, and democratic engagement on behalf of New York City residents. Tashyra was a featured founder and speaker at 2026 ESSENCE Festival of the Culture, and a featured author on a Times Square billboard in a July campaign. An estimated 10.1 million views were recorded.
Tashyra’s work bridges executive communication, media, faith, leadership, and education while helping individuals and institutions move beyond narrow definitions of identity and calling. In fact, Rolling Out Media named Tashyra a 2022 Sister with Superpowers in their national awards-campaign for women in business impacting their communities. Through her teaching, speaking, and writing, Ayers invites other entrepreneurs, executives, and founders to rethink the traditional success narrative.
Tashyra is a proud child of God and lover of Jesus Christ. She dedicates ample time to prayer and studying God's word. Tashyra enjoys fashion, statement pieces, vintage and one-of-a-kind finds, Marvel movies, travel, live shows, and spa days. She is a proud Mom and Glam-mom. Her son, Daevon now travels the world working with artists like Lauryn Hill, the Fugees, and Thundercat. He is an amazing father to Tashyra’s Glam-baby. Tashyra has shown that although it's not easy, it is certainly possible to do it all, and to do it well.
